Wangfujing Pedestrian Street is best explored by starting from the southern end near Chang'an Avenue and walking north towards Dongsi Street. This route allows you to experience the full range of shopping and dining options along the way.

Key attractions include the Wangfujing Department Store, one of Beijing's oldest and most famous department stores, the Oriental Plaza, a large shopping complex with international brands, and the Wangfujing Snack Street, where you can sample a variety of traditional Chinese snacks.

Don't miss the Wangfujing Church, (see right image 2) a historic Christian church located in the heart of the shopping district, and the National Art Museum of China, which is located near the northern end of the street.
